Belshina’s export to China up by 39% in Q1 2017

MOGILEV, 17 May (BelTA) – Belshina’s export of tires to China surged by 39% in Q1 2017 as against the same period of 2016, the company's director general Aleksei Yakovlev told BelTA.

“Our cooperation with Chinese partners is gaining momentum. This is the result of our proactive policy to diversify the markets, to expand the geography of supplies and consolidate our positions on our traditional sales markets,” Aleksei Yakovlev noted. The stable cooperation with China started in 2012. Work is carried out through our trading house BeltyreAsia in Singapore. In recent years the export of tires for quarry machinery has been growing. In 2016 alone we delivered 88 tires for BelAZ rock haulers with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes to the tune of more than ?600,000. Еhe export went up by 44% during the year as against a year earlier,” he noted.

Belshina has stepped efforts to promote its tires in the Chinese market. “We try to make use of all the possibilities, including the relations of trust and partnership that we see between Belarus and China. This helps remove many of the barriers to cooperation. A project to produce all-steer radial ties for rock haulers with the carrying capacity of 220 tonnes is nearing completion.

Belshina is one of Europe's top tire makers. The company trades with 63 countries. The main domestic consumers include Belarus' largest enterprises such as BelAZ, MAZ, MTZ, MZKT, Gomselmash, and Amkodor. OAO Belshina comprises a factory that makes large tires, a mass market tires factory, a giant tires factory, and a machining factory that provides the core manufacturing facilities with equipment and tools.

Founded in 1972, the company offers over 350 standard sizes and models of tires.
