Orders of Mother conferred on 58 Belarusian women with many children

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) The Orders of Mother have been conferred on 58 women from Vitebsk Oblast, Gomel Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast for giving birth to and bringing up five and more children. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed corresponding Decree No. 57 on 6 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Among the awardees are gardener of Tolochin Canning Factory Anna Gerasimova, worker of the center of creativity for children and youth in Novobelitsky District Valentina Berezina, stock breeder of the Ozery agricultural company in Grodno District Tatyana Vardoni, cook of the Solnyshko kindergarten in the village of Lapichi Irina Stelmakh.


Serial production of Belarus-China mobile cranes launched in Mogilev

MOGILEV, 1 February (BelTA) The serial production of Belarusian-Chinese 25-tonne mobile cranes ZMC-25 has been started in Mogilev. The first special vehicles have already been sold to Russia, BelTA learned from Zoomlion-MAZ Director Yuri Pivovarov.
The Belarusian-Chinese joint venture was busy developing and certifying new models throughout last year. The mobile crane ZMC-25 was assembled in Mogilev as a prototype model and went on display in Minsk and Moscow.


Mogilev Oblast Police Departments cooperation with Russian police praised

MOGILEV, 24 January (BelTA) The Mogilev Oblast Police Department has worked out a rather effective mechanism for cooperation with Russian Federation law enforcement agencies, BelTA learned from Mogilev Oblast Police Department Chief Alexander Kovalchuk on 23 January.

According to the source, traditionally close cooperation has evolved between the Mogilev Oblast Police Department and the police departments in Russias Smolensk Oblast and Bryansk Oblast.


Belarus' agricultural output up 4.1% in 2017

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) Belarusian agricultural enterprises of all types (state-run agricultural enterprises, private farming enterprises, and personal subsidiary economies) turned out Br18.2 billion worth of agricultural products in 2017, up 4.1% from 2016 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

The top contributor is Minsk Oblast (23.8% of the country's agricultural output).


Two garment factories to open in Mogilev Oblast in Q1 2018

MOGILEV, 4 January (BelTA) The Belarusian branch Sharm Premyer of the Russian Smolensk-based knitted-goods factory Sharm will open garment factories in Krichev and Bobruisk in Q1 2018. The two factories will focus on making the Russian youth apparel lineup Tvoe, BelTA learned from the Belarusian companys Director Tatiana Andrushchishina.

The enterprise in Krichev will use spare premises of the Krichev rubber goods factory of the Belarusian tire maker Belshina.


Over 5,800 polling stations set up for 2018 local elections in Belarus

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) A total of 5,869 polling stations have been set up for the elections to the local councils of deputies in Belarus in 2018. Such information has been posted on the website of the Belarusian Central Election Commission, BelTA has learned.

In particular, 1,022 polling stations have been set up in Gomel Oblast, 991 in Minsk Oblast, 923 in Brest Oblast, 798 in Vitebsk Oblast, 749 in Mogilev Oblast, 711 in the city of Minsk and 675 in Grodno Oblast.


Two Belarusian companies authorized to supply beef to China

MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) Belarus has become the first country in the CIS and 13th in the world that have been authorized to supply beef to the Chinese market, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

Belarus Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats met with the head of the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Zhi Shuping in Beijing on 12 December.

Belarusian MTZ ships first compact tractors to Colombia

MOGILEV, 28 November (BelTA) The first few compact tractors Belarus 321 made by OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units (BZTDiA, a division of the Belarusian industrial group MTZ) were shipped to Colombia in November, representatives of the company told BelTA.

In line with the contract with the Colombian company MTZ INGENIERIA SAS two Belarus 321 tractors went to South America. The tractors were chosen as the best fit for Colombian farmers.


Belarusian furniture manufacturers to take part in Mebel 2017 expo in Moscow

MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) - Companies affiliated with Bellesbumprom Concern will present the Belarusian furniture industry at Mebel 2017, the largest annual furniture show and the main industry event in Russia and Eastern Europe, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellesbumprom Concern.

These will be Belarus major manufacturers and exporters: Pinskdrev Holding Company, Molodechnomebel, Bobruiskmebel, ZOV-Lenevromebel, Gomel Furniture Factory Progress, Gomeldrev and Rechitsadrev.
